It Is The Season For Gaming | E3 2021

Conferences / Showcases

There are so many games conferences around at this time of year, so it can be a bit hard to keep up with everything that is going on. Sometimes I wished it was more spread out however the hype around games at this time of year is like nothing else. I know I love to watch all the conferences but am unable to watch them live and all on the day or day after. So I tend to watch what I can and catch up on the rest after. To do this I created a list of all the conferences, dates and timings and the links to watch them. (Some have already gone at time of posting). Best games so far

As some of the conferences have already been streamed prior to the date of posting, here is a list of my top games so far and my thoughts on them.

Horizon Forbidden West

The gameplay was shown for this in the state of play stream by Sony a couple weeks ago and looked stunning. We saw Aloy traversing in new ways, like swimming under water which looks really beautiful, check out my Tiktok or Instagram Reel showcasing the water. We also saw new ways to fight the robots and a small glimpse into the new story arc. I really loved the first game and am so excited to play the second game. Check out the full gameplay reveal here.

Elden Ring

This game is from the developers of Demon Souls, Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice and my personal favourite Bloodborne. FromSoftware is also teaming up with Game of Throne's George R. R. Martin which makes this game exciting as it takes gameplay from previous games developed by FromSoftware with adding in story influenced by George R. R. Martin. I am really looking forward to playing this on PC and possible streaming myself constantly dying as lets face it, that is what is going to happen to all of us. The release date is currently set for 21st January 2022. Check out the trailer here.

Kena Bridge of Spirits

This game looks very pretty with the creators having a background in film and animation. It has a very movie animation like cute style which is enticing me most and with the cool looking action and puzzles this game is very promising. Check out the full presentation here.

Indie games

There were a lot of indie games which looked pretty cool and I wish I could go through them all however there are too many, so here is a list of my top 3 Indie games I am looking forward to so far -

Deaths door - Gameplay looks fun and takes inspiration from games like Zelda.

Sable - The art style on this looks really gorgeous and super chill to play.

Sifu - Who doesn't love a little bit of martial arts?

My coverage

I will be trying to cover as much as humanly possible however most of my coverage will be on my Instagram, Twitter and Tiktok as with a full time job, a child and the time difference it's very difficult for me to watch the conferences live, let alone write blog posts on each of them. However I will write more posts on things I find interesting when I can.

Which conferences have you watched or are going to watch? Which games are you hyped about the most? Let me know in the comments below or on Instagram, Twitter or Tiktok.
